Adopting a Webkinz Curly Lion

The Curly Lion is the August Pet of the Month, and I was lucky to find one at Five Below a few months ago. I’d been saving the Curly Lion, and I was so excited when it was announced that the Curly Lion would be the Pet of the Month for August.

I love the Curly Lion because it’s so unique. The Curly Lion gets  its name from the curly ribbons that make up its mane and tail.

The curls are so fun and bouncy:

The Curly Lion has a long tail made of orange, yellow and brown ribbon:

One detail I really love about the Curly Lion are its eyebrows – they give its face so much personality and expression:

My Curly Lion is a boy, and I decided to name him “Steelo”:

You can see from the picture that the Curly Lion looks just as cute in Webkinz World as it does in real life. I think his curls are so adorable!

I really like the Curly Lion’s “Pet Specific Item. It’s called the “Majestic Wardrobe,” and it’s even decorated with curls!

If you click on the Majestic Wardrobe, you’ll see that it’s also a storage container for clothes:

Because the Curly Lion is August’s Pet of the Month, Steelo came with a special Pet of the Month gift box that included a Wish Token and 5 bonus Spree rolls.

I have quite a few of the Pet of the Month bonus gifts from adopting different pets and from the Trading Room. This time I decided to select the “Dex Dangerous Telescope.”

The Dex Dangerous Telescope is interactive. When you click on it, you get to look through the telescope at the stars….and a few surprises may even pop up if you watch for long enough!

After I chose my Pet of the Month bonus gift, I took Steelo to my “Filling Hearts Room” for some exercise. I recently revamped my Filling Hearts Room on my GABirdGirl account. As you can see, I used several items from the new “Ohh La La” theme available in the Ganz eStore.

After I filled up my Curly Lion’s heart, I decided to try a few outfits on him.

Adopting a Webkinz Carrots Bunny

The Carrots Bunny is the Webkinz Pet of the Month for April 2017.

This colorful spring bunny, who’s covered in carrots, is a perfect fit for the month of Easter.

Earlier this month I adopted a Carrots Bunny and got tons of cool Pet of the Month goodies and extras.

I named my Carrots Bunny “Veggie”:

Adopting a Lovely Fox

Hello Webkinz friends! I’ve been gone for a few days taking care of my real world job, but I’m back now, and I’ve got a fun adoption video for you – a Lovely Fox!

The Lovely Fox is special this month because Lovely Fox owners get special activities every day during the month of February. It’s similar to the bonus activities that reindeer owners got during December’s Reindeer Games.

I named my Lovely Fox “Kiwi,” just because I think it’s a cute and fun name.

A Closer Look: Airplane Window

Ganz recently brought us three new exclusive items: the Airplane Window, the Fancy Hotel Dining Table and the Purple Bumper Car.You can buy these exclusive items for 15 wish tokens each at the Wish Factory, or you might win one as your random gift when you adopt a new pet.

To make room for these new exclusive items, two older items have been retired:

Today we’re going to take a quick look at the Airplane Window. Just like the name says, this exclusive item is a window that looks like it belongs inside an airplane:

The window is interactive – you can click on it to shut it. When it’s closed it features a cute paw print design:

Also, the Airplane Window is animated – when it’s open you can see different shapes and sizes of clouds floating by:

Overall, for me the Airplane Window isn’t really the most exciting exclusive item that’s been released. There is a Kinz Air theme, though, that this window will match, including an airplane chair you can select as your Pet of the Month exclusive item if you adopt a POTM.

Pet of the Month: Goodies and Exclusives

Recently Ganz changed the way they award Pet of the Month exclusives. In the past, your exclusive was awarded randomly. Now, you get to pick which item you want when you adopt your Pet of the Month (POTM).

This October, the Webkinz POTM is the Black Panther. I mentioned the other day that I was really lucky and won a Black Panther from a room design contest on Webkinz Newz.

Adopting a new Webkinz pet is always fun, but it was even more fun to adopt a POTM, especially now that you can pick your own exclusive gift out of the whole POTM exclusives collection.

By my count, there are more than 30 exclusive items you can choose from when you adopt a Pet of the Month. I have a few of them, including the Bouncy Bed Trampoline, Lurking Lagoon, Magic Genie Lamp, Crystal Sea Glass Flooring and the Kinzville Cuckoo Clock. This time I chose the Carnival Carousel.

I put the carousel in my outdoor carnival room, and I think it’s a really neat addition. I love that it’s animated AND plays music! I do wish your pet could ride on it, though – that would make it even more awesome!

The exclusive items are all fantastic, but I don’t want to forget about the rest of the fun extras you get when you adopt a Pet of the Month, including 5 bonus Spree rolls, a Wish Token, a WShop coupon and a coin worth 500 kinzcash.

Autumn Adventure: Black Panther Room Design Contest

I have some exciting news to share! I was one of five winners selected in this month’s Webkinz Newz room design contest.

We were challenged to create a room where the Black Panther (October’s Pet of the Month) could go on an awesome autumn adventure. I designed an outdoor room called the “Golden Apple Orchard.”

As one of the five winners, I recieved a code for a virtual Black Panther. I adopted my Black Panther this morning, and I named her Muerta.

The Black Chic Couch is the Black Panther’s “pet specific item,” also known as the “PSI.”

Here’s Muerta in the Pink Petal Gown that’s currently available at the Ganz eStore. I think it’s so pretty! You can also buy the Sparkling Tiara at the Ganz eStore.

I’m a winner! Pirate Parrot Room Design Contest

The winners of the Pirate Parrot Room Design Contest have been announced…and I’m one of them! 🙂 To say I’m excited is an understatement! I received an email this morning with a code for my FREE Pirate Parrot!

When I was brainstorming creative ideas for a pirate ship, the song “Good Ship Lollipop” came into my head…so that’s what I did!

Here’s my winning design:

I’m so excited about getting a Pirate Parrot – I had a Pirate Parrot plushie, but I gave it to my nephew a few months ago. Now my nephew and I can BOTH have pirate parrots.

I named mine Corsair, which is another word for pirate. Here’s what he looks like:

March Peek-A-Newz Begins Today

Today is March 1st – which means a new Peek-A-Newz campaign has arrived at Webkinz Newz.
