Ganz eStore 20/20 Sale

Well, it turns out I went a little crazy with the Ganz eStore 20/20 sale – spend 20,000 points and get 20% off your purchases.

I combined the 20/20 sale (also known as the “After Dark Sale”) with the special promo code for 30% off eStore points and got myself 33,000 eStore points for $20.99.

Yes…that’s a bit crazy, I know! 🙂 But hey, it’s one of the perks of being a grownup – I can buy imaginary clothes with real money if I want to!

Because the theme of the sale was “After Dark,” items and pets related to the theme were on sale as well. So, I finally got myself the Midnight Marten I’ve had my eye on for a long time! I haven’t adopted it yet because I’m still working on the perfect name.

Another pet I bought was a Moon Fox. I adopted her this morning and named her Luna.

The Moon Fox’s pet specific item (PSI) is the Blue Moon Lagoon, which I think looks really cool. I’m trying to think of a room theme that would go well with this PSI:

In addition to the two pets, I bought a Night at the Movies Wardrobe, a carton of white chocolate eggs (unboxing video soon to come!) and some clothes, including a mermaid outfit that I’ve never seen before.

I guess that’s about all for now. I’m going to start working on my unboxing video for the 2016 Carton of White Chocolate Eggs. (I won another carton a couple of months ago when I was a finalist in the Room Design Awards.)

Sour Peach Floaty Clicky; Featured Room Design

Wacky Balloon Dartz: Winning Strategy

I’ve gotten some great feedback on the last two “winning strategy” videos I did, so I decided to do another one. This time I show you how to win at Wacky Balloon Dartz.

As you know, Wacky Balloon Dartz is the last of the three games that make up the “Wacky Log Out Carnival.”

You pop the balloons to win prizes, including recipe foods, kinzcash and even wish tokens! (I get wish tokens from Wacky Balloon Dartz pretty regularly!)

Wacky Balloon Dartz can be a little tricking because the balloon are moving across the screen, whereas the balloons stay in place with regular Balloon Dartz. You’ve got to get the timing right, and you’ve got to center up the dart under the balloon – and make sure the power meter is in the center.

The good news is that it’s not nearly as hard as it sounds. You don’t have to be perfectly centered to pop the balloon. Getting pretty close will be good enough. (You can see what I mean in the video.)

Pixie Pod Pachinko: Winning Strategy

With “Days of Play” here, games in the Magical Forest are open to everyone – and that includes Pixie Pod Pachinko. On May 15th, everyone was awarded 3 free pixie pods. (Don’t worry if you didn’t use them on the day they were awarded. They will still be there waiting for you!)

Pixie Pod Pachinko is the Webkinz take on a classic carnival game. A flower bud at the top of the screen shoots out a pod that drops down the screen, hitting bumps and wheels along the way. The goal is for the pod to land in the basket that is moving back and forth across the bottom of the screen.

It looks like this:

I’ve got a technique I’ve been using to play Pixie Pod Pachinko, and it usually serves me pretty well. With Pixie Pod Pachinko available to everyone, I thought it would be fun to share my technique. There are probably countless ways you can approach this game, but here’s how I do it:

First, align the flower bud at the angle shown in the picture below:

Then, wait to shoot the pod until the moment that the basket bumps into the right side of the screen and starts to move left.

Here’s a video to show you what I mean:

My strategy doesn’t work 100% of the time, but I think it’s a pretty good one. Do you have any tips or hints for Pixie Pod Pachinko?

Camper Van Bunk Bed: Family Score of 200,000

I reached a big Webkinz milestone the other day – I achieved a family score of 200,000 on my gabirdgirl account! The prize you get when you reach 200,000 is a Camper Van Bunk Bed.

I just randomly stuck the van in my Daisy’s Diner room to get a few pics – I think my new Camper Van will eventually wind up in an outdoor room with a camping theme. But in the mean time, here’s how it looks in a diner! 🙂

As the name tells you, the Camper Van is a bunk bed, so it sleeps two pets. Here’s a pic of two of my pets sleeping in the Camper Van – you can just barely see the pet who’s inside:

Parrot Pirate Dress and Goodies from Sophie

I’ve got to give Webkinz credit – they’ve definitely been stepping up their game when it comes to new prizes. It seems like years went by with games like Balloon Dartz awarding the same prizes over and over again. Over the past few months, though, that’s really changed, and the Daily Activity games have been awarding some really awesome prizes.

I was really excited to win this Parrot Princess Dress this morning while playing Token Balloon Dartz. It’s so different from any other Webkinz  clothing I already have, and I think it looks great on my White Persian Cat.

But it’s not just Token Balloon Dartz that has been awarding new prizes. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been winning two really cute shirts from Balloon Dartz – the Striped Babydoll Jacket and the Silky Chic Top:

The other day I posted about sending letters to Webkinz Hosts to get randomly awarded gifts. Sophie Stockwell, who is one of the newest hosts that you can “friend” on Webkinz, sent me some truly fantastic wallpaper – I love how it looks like a quilt pattern!

Tips for Flower Collection Success

The Flower Collection Challenge officially kicked off on May 1st. To complete the collection and win all 5 prizes, you need to collect a total of 50 flowers. The prizes are all different pieces of playground equipment:

One of my favorite part of these collection challenges is that you can complete the collection more than once! That means you can win each prize two or even three times if you have a flower collecting strategy.

Follow these tips to complete your collection faster!

There are 4 ways to get flowers:

1. Each day, pull up the Kinzville and click on the Flower Collection icon to automatically be awarded two flowers.

So that’s my first tip – logging on every day! It may seem simple, but just clicking on the icon will get you 62 total flowers!

2. Make sure you visit Webkinz Newz to find the “floaty clicky” flower. Click on the floating flower and one flower will automatically be added to your collection. You can do this once per account per day. That’s 31 flowers!

3. Purchase flowers using Ganz eStore points. Each flower costs 500 eStore points. Personally, I would only use eStore points if it was the very last day of collecting flowers, and I was one or two flowers away from the next prize.

4. Ask 10 friends for flowers each day. Now here is where you really need a strategy. You don’t want to just go down your friends list and click on random names. You want to select 10 friends that play daily and quickly respond to requests.

So how do you find out who those friends are? Try this little trick for cleaning up your friends list:

First, go to the WShop and purchase one of the cheapest building kits. That will either be the Ivy Brick Wall or the Wacky Clay Sculpture, which cost 100 kinzcash each.

Drag the building kit into one of your rooms and start asking for supplies. Then, grab a pen and a piece of paper and wait for the responses to come rolling in. Which of your Webkinz friends responded the quickest? Write down their names and use that list when asking for flowers!

If you’re like me, you’ve got a couple of hundred friends, but only a few dozen of them are really active. For just 100 kinzcash, you can quickly and easily find out who your active friends are!

Of course, you want to thank your best Webkinz friends by sending them a gift or a note from time to time. Always make sure your friends know that you appreciate their help!

KinzPost and Webkinz Hosts

Did you know that you can send letters to your favorite Webkinz Hosts? And did you also know that sometimes those hosts will send you a gift in return? That’s right! The Webkinz Hosts are generous folks – they’ll send you tons of different prizes in exchange for a letter that only costs you 1 kinzcash!

First things first, you have to make sure that you’re “friends” with all of the different Webkinz Hosts, such as Arte Fact, PJ Collie and Amanda Panda, just to name a few.

Webkinz Newz recently posted a great overview of what you need to do in order to become friends with each of the hosts.

Once you’ve got the hosts on your friends list, it’s time to start sending mail. Simply head to the KinzPost and choose “Send a Note.”

Next, choose a plain letter – no stickers, no special stationery – you don’t have to pay extra for anything special in order to have a chance to receive a gift.

Repeat the process until you’ve sent a note to each of the hosts. It only takes me about two to three minutes to send the notes.

If the host responds, you’ll know right away because you’ll get a notification in your mailbox, like this:

Now comes the fun part! Open up your letter and see what you got! You’ll usually get at least a couple of responses. Some will be notes and other will be notes that include a gift.

Here’s a few examples:

You can keep the prizes to enjoy with your pets, or you can sell them to earn some extra kinzcash:

Whether or not you receive a response – and whether it will include a gift – seems to be completely random. Even though it’s based on luck, I still recommend adding it to your daily Webkinz routine. Look at the example above – Arte Fact sent me a shirt worth 75 kinzcash in exchange for my 1 kinzcash note. Even if you get nothing in return, you’re only out around 10 kinzcash and a couple minutes of your time.
