Adopting a Webkinz Holly Fox

A few weeks ago I bought the Holly Fox from the Ganz eStore. I love all of the Christmas-themed pets available right now, like the Mistletoe Mouse and the Gingerbread Puppy. As cute as all of the holiday pets are, the Holly Fox is my favorite.

My Holly Fox is a girl, and I decided to name her Noel to keep with the Christmas theme. Her red and white stripes make me think of candy canes, and I love the holly leaves on her back.

Here’s a quick video I made while I was adopting Noel. Hope you like it!

Come join in the Reindeer Games!

I was doing some Christmas shopping last night, and I popped into Five Below to look for Webkinz. I was excited to see that they had a few reindeer plushies. I have a couple of reindeer on my TreeHuggerJess account that I adopted with my nephew, but none on my gabirdgirl account. So why was I excited about finding a reindeer? Because of the Reindeer Games, of course!

During the month of December, reindeer owners get a special game to play each day in the “Todays Activities” section. And, there’s even going to be a special prize you can collect on Christmas – the Countryside Christmas Stable:

countrysidechristmasstable

The Reindeer Games started last year, when Ganz ran a special sale on an pack of eight reindeer. Ganz brought the Reindeer Games back again this year and so far it looks like it’s going to be even better!

One of the best things about the reindeer I got at Five Below was the price…it was only $2.50! And that’s for a full size Webkinz!

I named my reindeer Rhonda…

And I dressed her up for Christmas!

I also love the PSI (pet specific item) that comes with the reindeer – this cute little red sleigh (“Far North Sleigh”) that your pet can ride in:

If you don’t have a Five Below, but you still want to join in the Reindeer Games a plush version and an online only version of the reindeer are both available in the Ganz eStore.

Rainbowtwingirls submitted this beautiful Christmas room for me to share with my readers:

Rainbowtwingirls took the Home for the Holidays theme and really glammed it up with a fabulous collection of Christmas trees. That magnificent red sleigh that the reindeer is riding in was the special prize for December’s Deluxe Member monthly challenge.

Did you notice the gingerbread grandfather clock against the wall? You can buy that with the moneyz you earn by playing games on Webkinz Newz.

This really looks like a fun and festive place to spend Christmas! Check out all those presents under the tree, and there’s even a piano for a Christmas carol sing-along!

Thank you for sharing this incredible room with us, rainbowtwingirls! I hope you enjoy your ornament outfits.

The contest might be over, but you can still get your own ornament outfits at the Ganz eStore.

Opening 12 Webkinz 2016 Golden Crackers

One of my favorite things about Christmas time in Webkinz World is the awesome holiday clothing collection released at the Ganz eStore. I think it’s so fun to open the holiday gift crackers that are only available  during the Christmas season – and of course I LOVE dressing my pets in their new outfits and taking them to the Clubhouse!

Over the course of the past week, I wound up buying more than a dozen of the 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts. I made a video so you can open them along with me! I had a few repeats, so I left those out – I wound up with at least four pairs of the unicorn slippers! 🙂

Good thing I can trade them in the Clubhouse. 🙂

I hope you enjoy my video – and maybe even buy yourself a couple of 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts!

Which is your favorite piece of clothing from the 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts I opened? Are you planning to buy any Golden Cracker Gifts for your pets? Let me know in the comments!

Reminder: Ornament Outfit Giveaway!

Wouldn’t your pet just love to dress up for Christmas in one of these two Ornament Outfits?

Christmas Fashion and Ornament Outfit Giveaway!

candy-cane-2

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 2016 tinsel crackers in the Ganz eStore. I can’t wait to see what types of Christmas and winter outfits will be available this year. In the meantime, though, I continue to browse through the clothing sections of the eStore. Today I happened upon a nice surprise – some super cute holiday themed outfits on sale!

row-of-stockings

I have quite a few eStore points left from the Cyber Monday sale, so I decided to buy a few of the outfits…and then I had another idea – what if I gave away some outfits? 🙂

I’m giving away TWO ornament outfits – but I’ll get to those details a little later. First I want to have a little fashion show.

string-of-lights-2

I bought two Candy Cane Hats – one to go with this Candy CaneRuffle Dress:

And another Candy Cane Hat to go with the Candy Cane Suit:

This next outfit isn’t Christmas themed, but it does seem like a holiday gown to me. It’s the Perfectly Pretty Gown that came with this month’s Deluxe Membership gift box. I bought the Perfectly Pretty Hat to go along with it. Here’s how the two look together:

Now onto the ornaments. First is the Snowflake Ornament Outfit. I love the way this blue looks on my Signature Pomeranian:

Then there’s also the Red Ornament Outfit – I really like the sparkly design on this one:

Now that you’ve seen the two ornament outfits that are up for grabs, let’s talk about how to win them!

Exploring the Countryside Christmas Theme

A brand new theme has arrived at the Wshop just in time for the winter holiday season. It’s the Countryside Christmas theme, and it was chosen as the winner out of three different themes by readers on Webkinz Newz.

screenshot1-of-csxmas

The Countryside Christmas theme is interesting because it creates an outdoor scene, but you build it in an indoor room. The outdoor look is achieved through the wallpaper and flooring.

cs-room-with-paper-and-walls

Another interesting aspect of the Countryside Christmas theme is the Cottage Kit, which you must build by asking your friends for materials.

cs-cottage-how-to-build

But before we delve too much further into the individual pieces of the theme, let’s take a look at the big picture. The Countryside Christmas theme is made up of 13 pieces. These pieces range in price from 800 to 180 kinzcash, with the Cottage Kit being the most expensive item in the theme.

Here’s a look at all of the individual pieces in the Countryside Christmas collection:

countryside-christmas-complete-set

The Countryside Toboggan Hill is the second most expensive piece at 600 kinzcash. The Toboggan Hill is interactive – your pet can actually slide down the hill on a little sled:

ezgif-com-add-text2

As you can see in the gif above, my Countryside Cottage is still a work in progress. You build the cottage in three stages, and each stage requires that you ask your friends (including Webkinz Hosts like Amanda Panda and Ms. Birdy) for the supplies.

Here are the three stages of the Countryside Cottage:

stages-of-cottage-kit

One piece of the Countryside Christmas theme that I especially like is the Pine Tree. The Pine Tree is neat because it actually has four different “looks,” depending on which way the tree is turned:

I like how the size of the tree and the pattern of the snow both change as you turn the tree.

The Countryside Christmas theme contains two different types of tiles – Road Tiles and Frozen Creek Tiles.

First up are the Road Tiles, which look like a vehicle has driven through the snow. There is a straight piece and a curved piece:

driving-road

The Frozen Creek Tiles, just like their name suggests, look like a frozen body of water running through your outdoor scene. There’s a straight piece and a curved piece here also:

frozen-creek

The fence pieces in the Countryside Christmas theme are interesting because even though the two types look alike, they actually work in two completely different ways.

With the Countryside Christmas Fence, you can place it anywhere INSIDE your room:

christmas-fence

However, the Countryside Border Fence is for outdoor rooms and must be placed along the EDGES of your room:

border-fence

The last two pieces of the Countryside Christmas theme are the Christmas Tree and the Snow Covered Lamp Post, both of which will mix and match well with other holiday themes:

So what do you think about the Countryside Christmas theme? Do you plan to buy some of the pieces or maybe even create a whole room? Which piece of the theme is your favorite? Let me know in the comments – the first five people to comment will get a Countryside Christmas gift via kinzpost!

Cyber Monday Deal

I spent the weekend covering the huge Black Friday Sale at the Ganz eStore, so I’d be remiss not to mention the Cyber Monday deal happening today – 50% off the purchase of 60,000 eStore points or more! That’s 60,000 eStore points for $25!

cyber-monday-2016-points-page

Ganz is also celebrating Cyber Monday with the arrival of the Holly Fox. I purchased one this morning, and I’m really looking forward to adopting it – I think my Holly Fox will be  a girl, and I’ll name her Noel!

The sale on eStore points is good for today (Nov 28th) only, so hurry and get yourself all set for buying Christmas goodies, like surprise stockings and tinsel crackers!
