Adopting a Fairykinz Tiger Cub

When I saw the new Fairykinz Tiger Cub in the Ganz eStore, I immediately fell in love!

The Fairykinz Tiger Cub is new this month, and it matches perfectly with the Fairykinz Meadow Theme that’s currently available at the Ganz eStore. My Fairykinz Tiger Cub cost me 10,000 eStore points because I have a Deluxe Membership.

I decided to name my Fairykinz Tiger Cub “Elphaba” after a character in one of my favorite musicals, “Wicked.”

If you’ve adopted any new Webkinz pets recently, then you know that the adoption process is just a little bit different. Now, when your adoption is complete, you’re taken straight to the “Welcome Room” in the Webkinz Clubhouse.

There you’re greeted by Ms. Birdy.

Your pet will ask you to perform a small, simple task – such as putting on a piece of clothing or giving it a snack. As soon as you complete that task, you’ll be transported to a random room in your Webkinz house.

Once you’re back in your Webkinz house, you’ll see your pet’s special gift box in your dock:

Then, you’ll be able to open up any bonus gift boxes you have received:

After I opened up the gifts that came with my Fairykinz Tiger Cub, I took her into my Ohh La La “filling hearts” room.

I filled up Elphaba’s heart as she swam in the pool:

Jumped on the trampoline:

Ran on the treadmill:

And of course took a little nap:

Adopting a Webkinz Curly Lion

The Curly Lion is the August Pet of the Month, and I was lucky to find one at Five Below a few months ago. I’d been saving the Curly Lion, and I was so excited when it was announced that the Curly Lion would be the Pet of the Month for August.

I love the Curly Lion because it’s so unique. The Curly Lion gets  its name from the curly ribbons that make up its mane and tail.

The curls are so fun and bouncy:

The Curly Lion has a long tail made of orange, yellow and brown ribbon:

One detail I really love about the Curly Lion are its eyebrows – they give its face so much personality and expression:

My Curly Lion is a boy, and I decided to name him “Steelo”:

You can see from the picture that the Curly Lion looks just as cute in Webkinz World as it does in real life. I think his curls are so adorable!

I really like the Curly Lion’s “Pet Specific Item. It’s called the “Majestic Wardrobe,” and it’s even decorated with curls!

If you click on the Majestic Wardrobe, you’ll see that it’s also a storage container for clothes:

Because the Curly Lion is August’s Pet of the Month, Steelo came with a special Pet of the Month gift box that included a Wish Token and 5 bonus Spree rolls.

But the best part of adopting a Pet of the Month is choosing your special Pet of the Month bonus gift!

I have quite a few of the Pet of the Month bonus gifts from adopting different pets and from the Trading Room. This time I decided to select the “Dex Dangerous Telescope.”

The Dex Dangerous Telescope is interactive. When you click on it, you get to look through the telescope at the stars….and a few surprises may even pop up if you watch for long enough!

After I chose my Pet of the Month bonus gift, I took Steelo to my “Filling Hearts Room” for some exercise. I recently revamped my Filling Hearts Room on my GABirdGirl account. As you can see, I used several items from the new “Ohh La La” theme available in the Ganz eStore.

2017 Spring Clothing Line has arrived!

I am very excited to announce the arrival of the 2017 Spring Clothing Line in the Kinzstyle Shop! I hope you stocked up on your favorite items from the 2016 Fall Clothing Line because it was retired earlier this week.

I am absolutely thrilled with the spring clothing collection PJ Collie has put together for us. 🙂 The pieces all mix and match so well, and the main colors – pale blue and mint green – are just perfect for spring. Now it’s time to see how these items look on some Webkinz pets! I hope that these outfits I put together will help you decide which pieces from the 2017 Spring Clothing Line you want most. Or maybe you want all 12 pieces!

First up is my Blue Persian Kitten named Audrey – I wanted to showcase my two absolute favorite items from the 2017 Spring Clothing Line: the Floral Headband and the Lovely Spring Sunglasses:

I paired these adorable accessories with a Bluebird Dress (a clothing item that was available in the 2016 Summer Mystery Clothing Bag). I absolutely love the way the little yellow details in the flowers match the yellow ribbon on the dress.

Now let’s take a look at a couple of the items that are only available to Deluxe members – the Light Green Slacks and the matching Springy Vest:

This outfit is being modeled by Luna, my Moon Fox. The top is called a Springy Vest, but it’s actually a vest over top of a blue button down shirt. I’ve added the Lovely Spring Glasses to the look because I think the green of the frames match perfectly with the color of the pants and vest. Overall, I just think this is a really hip and cool look.

Here’s a look at my Grumpy Cat modeling the Springtime Trench:

The Springtime Trench costs 450 kinzcash, making it the most expensive item in the whole collection. The Springtime Trench is the only piece in the 2017 Spring Clothing Line that features the color pink. Pink is one of my favorite colors, so I’m loving the flowers on this trench coat and the matching pink belt.

To play up the pink in the Springtime Trench, I paired it with a pair of Designer High Heels, which are a prize you can buy at the Spree Mall. (Get to the Spree Mall even faster when you purchase bonus turns at the Ganz eStore!)

Now we’ll take a look at my Black Panther Muerta modeling a fresh look for a warm spring day:

The Pretty Bow Flats are another one of my favorite items in this line. They’re very versatile, and I am sure I’ll be pairing them up with lots of different outfits from all sorts of collections. To keep the look light and airy, I paired up the Lightly Layered Skirt with the Basic White Tank Top (a piece from the “PJ Collie gets back to basics” collection). I love the swirling designs on the Lightly Layered Skirt and the wide range of blues. Of course I had to add the Floral Headband for an extra girlie touch!

So speaking of many shades of blue, let’s take a look at the Spring Gradient Tee:

The Spring Gradient Tee is being modeled here by Sadie, my mocha pup. I decided to give Sadie an outdoorsy look, like she’s ready to go on a nice spring hike. Besides just being pretty, I like the Spring Gradient Tee because of the little details, like the collar and the button on the front. The sleeves are puffed, so you could use this shirt to create a much dressier outfit if you wanted to.

The shorts are Cuff Chinos, which were a prize in the August Deluxe Gift Box. I also added some Blue Camo Sneakers so Sadie can play outdoors and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. 🙂 The Blue Camo Sneakers came in the June Deluxe Gift Box. If you’re into collecting clothes like I am, then you’ll love the monthly Deluxe Gift Boxes. Each one features a special piece of clothing you can’t get anywhere else. In fact, they’re so exclusive that you can’t even buy them in the eStore!

If you find yourself jumping through mud puddles after a spring shower, then you’ll want a pair of the Blue Gumboots:

I decided to have my Black Panther model the Blue Gumboots by themselves so you can see all of the great details. For instance, I really like the strap with the gold buckle at the top. As you can see, the soles are very rugged, which is a bit different than the way the boots are pictured in the Kinzstyle Outlet. These Blue Gumboots would look really cute with the rain jacket and hat you can win in the 2017 Spring Mystery Clothing Bags.

Muerta is going to model for us one last time:

I brought back the Basic White Tank Top to put together the Dark Blue Paisley Shorts and the Paisley Newsboy. (The Paisley Newsboy is only available to Deluxe members.) These shorts and this hat are obviously a perfect match, but each piece individually is also great. A lot of attention to detail went into creating this paisley pattern. With all these shades of blue, I bet the Dark Blue Paisley Shorts would look good with the Spring Gradient Tee as well. I finished off the look with the Pretty Bow Flats because I love how fresh and clean the white accessories make the outfit feel.

Last but certainly not least, we’ve got Taffy, my Ribbon Yorkie, modeling the Cinched Sweater:

The Cinched Sweater costs 400 kinzcash, making it the second most expensive item in the collection. I love the striped/swirly belt that “cinches” the waist of the sweater, and the fluffy cuffs and matching fluffy hem make this sweater feel more dressy than the other very casual items in the 2017 Spring Line. I mixed and matched a lot with Taffy’s outfit, combining the Plain Black Skirt with some very dressy Pearl Sandals (sometimes available at the Ganz eStore). Once again, the Floral Headband is a perfect match. I really love how these greens and blues coordinate – these colors make it so easy to put together great outfits!

Cozy Yacht Bed and Other Webkinz Superbeds

Webkinz recently released a new superbed. It’s called the “Cozy Yacht Bed” and features a helicopter landing pad where your pet can sleep.

Here are a couple of different views of the Cozy Yacht Bed in my pet’s room:

Superbeds are one of the most prized items in all of Webkinz World. These special and extremely unique beds can’t be bought in the WShop or even the Ganz eStore. To get your first Superbed, you must adopt 10 pets.

Upon adopting your 10th pet, you’ll see a “Super Exclusive Gift Box” show up in your dock. It looks like this:

Drag the box into your pet’s room, and it will pop open to reveal dozens of Superbeds you can choose from.

Once you’ve adopted 10 pets, you’ll get another Superbed gift box for every 5 more pets you adopt – so 15 pets, 20 pets, etc.

I was lucky that I had a Superbed gift box on hand when the Cozy Yacht Bed was released. I’m currently in the process of designing a room that features this new Superbed:

By combining blue flooring from the WShop and sandy beach tiles from the Vacation Island wheel, I was able to create a room that’s half land, half water. (Vacation Island is only open to players with a Deluxe membership.) As you can see, the Cozy Yacht Bed is out at sea, and I’ve started to decorate the land area with beach blankets and chairs.

Pet of the Month: Goodies and Exclusives

Recently Ganz changed the way they award Pet of the Month exclusives. In the past, your exclusive was awarded randomly. Now, you get to pick which item you want when you adopt your Pet of the Month (POTM).

This October, the Webkinz POTM is the Black Panther. I mentioned the other day that I was really lucky and won a Black Panther from a room design contest on Webkinz Newz.

Adopting a new Webkinz pet is always fun, but it was even more fun to adopt a POTM, especially now that you can pick your own exclusive gift out of the whole POTM exclusives collection.

By my count, there are more than 30 exclusive items you can choose from when you adopt a Pet of the Month. I have a few of them, including the Bouncy Bed Trampoline, Lurking Lagoon, Magic Genie Lamp, Crystal Sea Glass Flooring and the Kinzville Cuckoo Clock. This time I chose the Carnival Carousel.

I put the carousel in my outdoor carnival room, and I think it’s a really neat addition. I love that it’s animated AND plays music! I do wish your pet could ride on it, though – that would make it even more awesome!

The exclusive items are all fantastic, but I don’t want to forget about the rest of the fun extras you get when you adopt a Pet of the Month, including 5 bonus Spree rolls, a Wish Token, a WShop coupon and a coin worth 500 kinzcash.

February Deluxe Gift Box – Pom Pom Wedges

So the February Deluxe gift boxes are out, and this month’s special clothing item was Pom Pom wedges. I have to admit, at first, I wasn’t too excited about them.

Honestly, I thought they looked a little plain, and they reminded me of shoes that we’ve already seen on Webkinz before.

But…when I saw that there is a matching Pom Pom Winter Dress at the eStore, I started to come around….

Put together as an ensemble with the dress, I’m starting to dig the wedges! Here’s my persian cat Elsa modeling the Pom Pom look:

Deluxe Membership and Magic W Cat

My Deluxe Membership expired today…which also means that my renewed Deluxe Membership kicked in today. Kind of confusing, but that’s how it works. 🙂

With my Deluxe Membership officially renewing today, I finally got my January Deluxe Gift Box. This month’s prize was the Icy Grecian Crown. It matches the Icy Grecian Gown from a previous Deluxe Gift Box.

 

I also got my eStore points deposited into my account. With what I had before, I am at a grand total of just over 18,000 eStore points. Not too shabby. 😉 I’m going to use them to celebrate Valentine’s Day and for the special Chinese New Year celebration I have planned.

What I was most excited about, however, is getting to adopt my 10 Year Magic W Cat!

The 10 Year Magic W Cat was the free pet that came with the purchase of a 12 month Deluxe Membership when I purchased my membership renewal back on January 1st.

I adore cats of all kinds, and it’s cool to have a Webkinz pet that commemorates the 10 year anniversary of Webkinz. I named her Kit Kit, and she is cute as can be!
