A couple of trophies and some Thoughts from the Treetop: May 2, 2017

Sometimes the real world keeps me busy and I get behind on my Webkinz blogging. 🙂  I’m having an easy day today, just enjoying the beautiful weather and watching the birds at the feeders on my back deck.

I’ve got some fun news and some random thoughts to share, so I figured I’d do a Thoughts from the Treetop post and just collect it all in one place.

First I want to share my exciting news (well, it’s exciting to me, anyway) – I finally got a Pet Party Parade trophy! 🙂 I got the trophy a few days ago on my TreeHuggerJess account, and it’s really cute.

When you complete all 30 levels of the game, you’ll see this message:

Then because it was my first time winning the whole game and earning a trophy, I got this message:

Last, here’s a look at the trophy in my Trophy Room:

Have you won the Pet Party Parade trophy yet? How many levels have you been able to beat so far? Do you have any tips for winning Pet Party Parade?

It’s the beginning of a new month, and that means a new Deluxe Monthly Challenge. In order to meet this month’s challenge, you’ve got to earn 150 kinzcash playing Color Storm.

I’ve actually got some tips for playing Color Storm. To read the tips, click here for the blog post I wrote during the Color Storm Trophy Challenge.

Speaking of trophies, I finally won the Candy Bash 2 trophy – and I won it on both of my accounts!

The Candy Bash 2 trophy looks like a chili pepper:

Here it is in my trophy room:

(And there’s my Grumpy Cat giving us a photo bomb!)

The Candy Bash 2 trophy is actually pretty easy to win once you know the secret/trick to unlocking it. The trophy is awarded randomly, BUT the only way you can have a chance of winning the trophy is by first getting “4 in a row” while you’re collecting the falling candy.

4 in a row

That means “catching” four of the same type of candies/sweets in a row, like this:

ezgif.com-gif-maker(2)

Once you’ve collected four in a row, keep playing and wait for the cat (named Gato Loco) to float by across the top of the screen. If Gato Loco is holding a trophy, hit him with a bean – the trophy will fall, and if you catch the trophy before it hits the ground, then congrats! You now have the Candy Bash 2 Trophy! When you catch the trophy, you’ll hear Poncho say “Arrrrrribe!”

CandyBash2Trophy

The random trophy counter will reset after each appearance by Gato Loco. So if you see the cat but don’t get the trophy, you need to do another four in a row in order to have another chance at the trophy.

Have you won the Candy Bash 2 Trophy yet?

I’ve adopted a couple of pets recently. One of them was the Baby Bunny. The Baby Bunny was a special pet in the month of April because Baby Bunny owners got a extra activity each day. (Like the Reindeer Games in December and the Lovely Fox bonus activities in February.)

I named my Baby Bunny “Gidget,” and I think she’s a cutie:

Here’s Gidget wearing the Farmer’s Wife dress you can sometimes find at the Ganz eStore. (The clothing selection changes frequently.)

If you want your own Baby Bunny, the plush is still available at the Ganz eStore.

The Flower Collection Event just kicked off – if you want some tips on collection event success, click here for a blot post with advice on how to collect flowers quickly.

I’ll wrap up my Thoughts from the Treetop with a picture of the Super Token I recently won – this Super Token was worth three wish tokens!

Have you ever had a Super Token? What did you win? (Deluxe Members get to spin the Wheel of Wishes every day!)

Well, I guess that’s all for now. Thanks for reading and for visiting my blog. I hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic week!

Opening 12 Webkinz 2016 Golden Crackers

One of my favorite things about Christmas time in Webkinz World is the awesome holiday clothing collection released at the Ganz eStore. I think it’s so fun to open the holiday gift crackers that are only available  during the Christmas season – and of course I LOVE dressing my pets in their new outfits and taking them to the Clubhouse!

Over the course of the past week, I wound up buying more than a dozen of the 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts. I made a video so you can open them along with me! I had a few repeats, so I left those out – I wound up with at least four pairs of the unicorn slippers! 🙂

Good thing I can trade them in the Clubhouse. 🙂

I hope you enjoy my video – and maybe even buy yourself a couple of 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts!

Which is your favorite piece of clothing from the 2016 Golden Cracker Gifts I opened? Are you planning to buy any Golden Cracker Gifts for your pets? Let me know in the comments!

Reminder: Ornament Outfit Giveaway!

Wouldn’t your pet just love to dress up for Christmas in one of these two Ornament Outfits?

Christmas Fashion and Ornament Outfit Giveaway!

candy-cane-2

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 2016 tinsel crackers in the Ganz eStore. I can’t wait to see what types of Christmas and winter outfits will be available this year. In the meantime, though, I continue to browse through the clothing sections of the eStore. Today I happened upon a nice surprise – some super cute holiday themed outfits on sale!

row-of-stockings

I have quite a few eStore points left from the Cyber Monday sale, so I decided to buy a few of the outfits…and then I had another idea – what if I gave away some outfits? 🙂

I’m giving away TWO ornament outfits – but I’ll get to those details a little later. First I want to have a little fashion show.

Exploring the Countryside Christmas Theme

A brand new theme has arrived at the Wshop just in time for the winter holiday season. It’s the Countryside Christmas theme, and it was chosen as the winner out of three different themes by readers on Webkinz Newz.

screenshot1-of-csxmas

The Countryside Christmas theme is interesting because it creates an outdoor scene, but you build it in an indoor room. The outdoor look is achieved through the wallpaper and flooring.

cs-room-with-paper-and-walls

Another interesting aspect of the Countryside Christmas theme is the Cottage Kit, which you must build by asking your friends for materials.

cs-cottage-how-to-build

But before we delve too much further into the individual pieces of the theme, let’s take a look at the big picture. The Countryside Christmas theme is made up of 13 pieces. These pieces range in price from 800 to 180 kinzcash, with the Cottage Kit being the most expensive item in the theme.

Here’s a look at all of the individual pieces in the Countryside Christmas collection:

countryside-christmas-complete-set

The Countryside Toboggan Hill is the second most expensive piece at 600 kinzcash. The Toboggan Hill is interactive – your pet can actually slide down the hill on a little sled:

ezgif-com-add-text2

As you can see in the gif above, my Countryside Cottage is still a work in progress. You build the cottage in three stages, and each stage requires that you ask your friends (including Webkinz Hosts like Amanda Panda and Ms. Birdy) for the supplies.

Here are the three stages of the Countryside Cottage:

stages-of-cottage-kit

One piece of the Countryside Christmas theme that I especially like is the Pine Tree. The Pine Tree is neat because it actually has four different “looks,” depending on which way the tree is turned:

I like how the size of the tree and the pattern of the snow both change as you turn the tree.

The Countryside Christmas theme contains two different types of tiles – Road Tiles and Frozen Creek Tiles.

First up are the Road Tiles, which look like a vehicle has driven through the snow. There is a straight piece and a curved piece:

driving-road

The Frozen Creek Tiles, just like their name suggests, look like a frozen body of water running through your outdoor scene. There’s a straight piece and a curved piece here also:

frozen-creek

The fence pieces in the Countryside Christmas theme are interesting because even though the two types look alike, they actually work in two completely different ways.

With the Countryside Christmas Fence, you can place it anywhere INSIDE your room:

christmas-fence

However, the Countryside Border Fence is for outdoor rooms and must be placed along the EDGES of your room:

border-fence

The last two pieces of the Countryside Christmas theme are the Christmas Tree and the Snow Covered Lamp Post, both of which will mix and match well with other holiday themes:

So what do you think about the Countryside Christmas theme? Do you plan to buy some of the pieces or maybe even create a whole room? Which piece of the theme is your favorite? Let me know in the comments – the first five people to comment will get a Countryside Christmas gift via kinzpost!
