Lil’ Purple Spring Kitten: A Cutie Named Jellybean

In case you couldn’t guess from my website’s logo, I am a huge animal lover. Cats are quite possibly my favorite animal and have been since I was a little girl. So, when I saw the Lil’ Spring Kittens in the Ganz eStore, I knew I wanted to adopt one! 🙂

Purple and pink are my favorite colors, but I already have several pink Webkinz pets, so I decided to adopt a purple kitten, and I named her Jellybean.

As I’m sure you noticed from the name, these kittens are Lil Kinz, which means they are about half the size of a regular Webkinz pet:

A Lil’ Kinz will always appear smaller than the other Webkinz, including in the Clubhouse or if you win high score of the day in the Arcade:

Even though they’re smaller in size, these Lil’ Kinz can do everything that other Webkinz can do and come with all of the same types of prizes.

I think I’ve mentioned in the past that I really enjoy the Trading Room. (Be on the lookout for a blog post on Trading Room tips!) For me, the best part of the Trading Room is getting “Pet Specific Items,” often referred to as a PSI for short.

A PSI is the special item that comes with a Webkinz when it is adopted. The PSI will relate to the specific pet in some way, such as in its design, color or function.

For example, the Peace n’ Love Puppy has the Chillaxin’ Couch:

And the Blue Avenue Pomeranian has the Blue Avenue Day Bed:

You can’t buy a PSI in the WShop or even at the eStore. The only way to get a specific PSI is to adopt that pet or try to find one in the Trading Room.

The reason I brought up pet specific items is because the Lil’ Purple Spring Kitten comes with an awesome PSI – it’s called the Purple Spring Egg Cottage, and it looks like a little house made from an Easter egg, complete with a front door and flowers in the window box:

Each Lil’ Spring Kitten comes with an Egg Cottage. The color of the Egg Cottage you get is the same color as the kitten!

The Purple Spring Egg Cottage is an animated item. Your pet can go inside it, and then the windows light up and the chimney smokes:

I’ve been putting together an Easter Village room with a wide variety of items – prizes from past Spring Celebrations, White Chocolate Egg prizes, pet specific items, etc. It’s still a work in progress, but I love the way the Purple Spring Egg Cottage looks in my Easter Village:

A Closer Look at 2018 White Chocolate Egg Prizes

I’m so excited! The 2018 White Chocolate Eggs have arrived in the Ganz eStore!

There are 8 different prizes you can win from this year’s white chocolate eggs, plus the Grand Prize, which is the Weathered Stone Cottage:

You can either purchase a carton of white chocolate eggs (a carton contains 6 eggs) for 5,000 eStore points or a single white chocolate egg for 2,500 eStore points.

I bought a couple of cartons this afternoon, and I love the prizes I won. I decided to make a short video showing the prizes I got as I “unboxed” the 12 eggs:

One thing you’ll notice about the prizes in the 2018 White Chocolate Eggs is that they coordinate with the prizes in the Chocolate Eggs that you can collect during Spring Celebration in Webkinz World that runs from March 23rd to April 1st.

For example, the Dragon Fly Wall Art and the Butterfly Wall Art match perfectly. The two decorations would look awesome together – maybe a flower themed room or a room with lots of purple and turquoise furniture.

I was lucky enough to win a Butterfly Wall Art prize from one of the white chocolate eggs I fed my pet:

The Butterfly Wall Art has such a realistic look to it. You can really see the glint of the beads that decorate the wire wings, and I like how the butterfly has dimension and folds away from the wall.

I’m not sure where the Butterfly Wall Art will go yet, but here’s a look at in a Year 10 Anniversary room. I probably wouldn’t leave it here, but the colors do go well together:

Speaking of butterflies, I simply adore the Playful Butterfly prize! The Playful Butterfly is an animated item and features butterflies that flutter in the air.

It wasn’t until I looked at the item in my dock that I realized that the Playful Butterfly actually has 4 different looks depending on which way the item is turned. The number and color of the butterflies changes:

I’m really excited about using the Playful Butterflies in the butterfly garden room that I’ve been working on.

You probably noticed the stream on the left side next to the Playful Butterflies. I built that stream out of the Fresh Water Stream Tiles. You can win straight and curved tiles:

The Fresh Water Stream Tiles have such a vibrant, spring feel. The blue of the water is like the clear skies, and little white spring flowers are growing along the banks with some rocks and willows.

If you like the the Creepy Creek Tiles from the Freaky Forest Theme, then you’re really going to love the Fresh Water Stream Tiles.

You can always count on lots of different types of flowers being awarded during these chocolate egg events in Webkinz World. This year is no exception! When you feed your pet a 2018 White Chocolate Egg you could win one of three colors of Wild Rose Bushes: pink, blue and white.

These rose bushes are full of brightly colored blossoms and would make a great addition to any garden. As you can see in the picture below, the Wild Rose Bushes are quite a bit taller than the other flowers that you can win during the Spring Celebration:

I still haven’t won a Spring Chick Plushy, so the last prize I have to show you today is the Iron Wood Side Table:

The Iron Wood Side Table is a cute match with the Iron Wood Watering Can:

I’ll probably put my Iron Wood Side Table in an outdoors room to create the look that my pet is working on their garden. But, the table does look good in an indoor room as well, such as the farmhouse room I’ve been building from Jumbleberry Fields prizes:

Adopting a Fairykinz Tiger Cub

When I saw the new Fairykinz Tiger Cub in the Ganz eStore, I immediately fell in love!

The Fairykinz Tiger Cub is new this month, and it matches perfectly with the Fairykinz Meadow Theme that’s currently available at the Ganz eStore. My Fairykinz Tiger Cub cost me 10,000 eStore points because I have a Deluxe Membership.

I decided to name my Fairykinz Tiger Cub “Elphaba” after a character in one of my favorite musicals, “Wicked.”

If you’ve adopted any new Webkinz pets recently, then you know that the adoption process is just a little bit different. Now, when your adoption is complete, you’re taken straight to the “Welcome Room” in the Webkinz Clubhouse.

There you’re greeted by Ms. Birdy.

Your pet will ask you to perform a small, simple task – such as putting on a piece of clothing or giving it a snack. As soon as you complete that task, you’ll be transported to a random room in your Webkinz house.

Once you’re back in your Webkinz house, you’ll see your pet’s special gift box in your dock:

Then, you’ll be able to open up any bonus gift boxes you have received:

After I opened up the gifts that came with my Fairykinz Tiger Cub, I took her into my Ohh La La “filling hearts” room.

Adopting a Webkinz Curly Lion

The Curly Lion is the August Pet of the Month, and I was lucky to find one at Five Below a few months ago. I’d been saving the Curly Lion, and I was so excited when it was announced that the Curly Lion would be the Pet of the Month for August.

I love the Curly Lion because it’s so unique. The Curly Lion gets  its name from the curly ribbons that make up its mane and tail.

The curls are so fun and bouncy:

The Curly Lion has a long tail made of orange, yellow and brown ribbon:

One detail I really love about the Curly Lion are its eyebrows – they give its face so much personality and expression:

My Curly Lion is a boy, and I decided to name him “Steelo”:

You can see from the picture that the Curly Lion looks just as cute in Webkinz World as it does in real life. I think his curls are so adorable!

I really like the Curly Lion’s “Pet Specific Item. It’s called the “Majestic Wardrobe,” and it’s even decorated with curls!

If you click on the Majestic Wardrobe, you’ll see that it’s also a storage container for clothes:

Because the Curly Lion is August’s Pet of the Month, Steelo came with a special Pet of the Month gift box that included a Wish Token and 5 bonus Spree rolls.

I have quite a few of the Pet of the Month bonus gifts from adopting different pets and from the Trading Room. This time I decided to select the “Dex Dangerous Telescope.”

The Wacky Zingoz Celebration kicked off on August 1st, and so far it’s been lots of fun. You can win really cute clothes by playing WackyER Zingoz, and you can earn an unlimited number of trophies if you can hit 600 in Wacky Zingoz.

Do you like the Wacky Zingoz arcade game? If you do, then you’re sure to love Wacky Zingoz Extreme!

Wacky Zingoz Extreme is a Webkinz arcade game you can unlock by purchasing the game in the Ganz eStore. The Wacky Zingoz Extreme Game is available for 4000 eStore points.

The main idea of the Wacky Zingoz Extreme game is the same as the original Wacky Zingoz. The big orange Zangoz uses a club to send Wacky sailing. Your goal is to hit Wacky just right so that he travels as far as possible.

What makes the “extreme” version different is a few things. First, there are 3 different types of clubs to choose from:

 

As you can see, the two new and extreme clubs each have a special power up so you can make Wacky bouncer higher or fly farther!

Another way that Wacky Zingoz Extreme is different from the original is that you have the ability to hit Wacky twice and get an even higher score!

Of course there are also the floating Wackies to click on and earn a soda – either Zangoz Orange Fizz or Wacky Lemon Fizz. If you’re lucky, you just might win one of these really cool fridges:

To increase your odds of winning a fridge, you can actually buy a 6 pack of soda from the Ganz eStore. There’s a case of Wacky Lemon Fizz or a pack of Zangoz Orange Fizz to choose from.

Webkinz 2017 Summer Mystery Clothing Bags

Hello Webkinz friends! I hope you’ve been enjoying your summer! 🙂 I definitely have! One of the things I like best about the change of seasons in Webkinz world is the arrival of new mystery clothing bags.

The 2017 Summer Mystery Clothing Bags arrived at the Ganz eStore earlier this month. I had some eStore points saved up from my Deluxe membership, so I was able to buy several bags, and I got lots of really cute and fun new clothes for my pets…and some great items for trading!

A Closer Look: Cafe Fireplace

It’s been an exciting summer so far in Webkinz World, with the 2017 Berry Fest and new Jumbleberry prizes, a summer clothing line and new prizes in the Spree Mall.

I made it to the Spree Mall with my TreeHuggerJess account, and I had enough mall credits to pick up the Cafe Fireplace.

The Cafe Fireplace costs 750 mall credits:

As you probably guessed, the Cafe Fireplace makes a  nice addition to a Cafe-themed room:

The brick isn’t a perfect match, but it’s close. The wood on the top and bottom of the fireplace matches well with the wood in the cafe wallpaper and flooring. I like the idea of a warm fireplace in a cozy little coffee shop.

The Cafe Fireplace is an interactive item. You can click on the fireplace to ignite a glowing, flickering fire:

I think the animation for the Cafe Fireplace is really well done. You definitely get a feeling that the fireplace is glowing. I also like that Ganz gave us an item that matches with another theme – like the way that the Fancy Hotel Dining Table matches with the Hotel theme.

A Closer Look: New Jumbleberry Fields Prizes

Today we’re going to take a closer look at the new prizes added to Jumbleberry Fields in honor of the 2017 Berry Fest. There are a total of 7 new prizes you can earn by filling up your jars.

I’ve been saving up my berries for quite a while now, and I was lucky to have full jars to trade in for these new prizes. It can take a long time to fill your jars, especially with moonberries, so I think it’s good to see what these new prizes look like and how they function when you add them to your pet’s room.

Let’s start with jumbleberries. The two new jumblerry prizes are the Farm House Shelf and the Bundle of Pickleberries.

The Farm House Shelf matches with the new “Farm House” theme that has been introduced into the Jumbleberry Fields prizes. (We’ve already seen the “Country Kitchen” theme, which included wallpaper, flooring, windows and even place settings.)

I love all the details in the Farm House Shelf, like the red and white towel hanging on the bottom and the jars of preserves on the shelf. It’s a perfect addition to any kitchen, especially a jam making kitchen.

Here’s a look at the Bundle of Pickleberries lined up in a berry themed kitchen:

The Bundle of Pickleberries completes the set of berry bundles, as we’ve already had the jumbleberry, sugary berry and moonberry bundles to choose from and add to our rooms.

Next up we’ll check out the sugarberry prizes. The new sugarberry prizes are the Farm House Flooring and the Farm House Wallpaper. I love the wood and stone look of the Farm House Flooring and Wallpaper.

The Farm House Flooring and Wallpaper coordinate with chocolate colored wood, greyish brown wood and dark grey/brown stones in all different shapes and sizes.

As you can, the two match each other very nicely:

Now let’s take a look at the pickleberry prizes. We’ve got another addition to the “Farm House” theme with the Farm House Window, and there’s also the Berry Farm Stand.

I’m going to want to collect a few of the Farm House Windows to complete my Farm House room. The Farm House Window has a nice view of a tall wheat field with green trees off in the distance:

The other pickleberry prize is the Berry Farm Stand.

The Berry Farm Stand is a beautiful dark wood and features the Jumbleberry Fields logo:

The Berry Farm Stand matches really well with prizes like the Fresh Pie Stand and the Jumbleberry Fields Sign. I’ve used some of these prizes to create a berry farm complete with places to sit, fresh berries to buy and other fun activities fit for a day at the farm:

Last up is the moonberry jar’s new prize, which is the Farm House Cabinet.

I’m sure you’ve caught onto the pattern by now. 🙂 The Farm House Cabinet is made out of the same grey toned wood to match with the other Farm House prizes. It’s actually a dresser that holds 12 clothing items:

If you love Jumbleberry Fields, the Ganz eStore offers a couple of different ways to enhance your game play. You can buy seeds to grow all four types of berries in your pet’s garden. These berry seed packets are available in the Ganz eStore for purchase with eStore points.

You can also purchase “Bonus Plays” right from the game itself. Use your eStore points to buy 1 Bonus Play or 3 Bonus Plays:

Speaking of the eStore and berries, there are also lots of really cool items you purchase with eStore points to design and build an awesome Jumbleberry Fields room or farm.
